I find the most effective way to clean the Braun Series 3 is to first remove the shaver head/cassette, give it a tap on the sink to remove the loose hairs, then use the included brush to clear as many of the remaining hairs as possible (on the underside of the shaver cassette and the top of the shaver body ), next I rinse both parts under a running tap, then I lay the shaver and cassette head next to the sink to dry. Note: do not use the brush on the shaver foil as this will damage the foil.

The other method of cleaning is to simply turn the shaver on and place it under hot running water – this also works very well.

Once a week it is ideal to clean the blades with something like the product linked below, it will help lubricate and keep the blades sharp (extend the life of the shaver head).

The shaver itself should last for many years (it comes with a solid 2-year guarantee, but should last for many more than 5 years), but you will need to replace the Foil & Cutter cassette after about 12 to 18 months.
