Best Luxury Watches for Women – Top 10 Most Stylish List for January, 2024
These days, nearly every woman seems to have a smartphone permanently attached to her hand, and all she has to do to tell the time is take a quick glance at the digital clock in the corner of the phone’s display.
That hasn’t diminished the importance and appeal of a fine luxury watch. A high-end watch is the perfect way for a woman to complement her outfit, adding elegance, class and style to her overall appearance.
Many believe that a watch conveys a woman’s personality in a way no other accessory can, while at the same time accenting her femininity and beauty. Lovely, minimalist watches and large, ornate ones are each able to make a distinct fashion statement – depending on the woman’s personal style and look.
Groom+Style include both types of timepieces and some that fall in between the two extremes, in our list of the top 10 best luxury watches for women.
Characteristics of Luxury Watches for Women (and Men)
Accuracy in a watch that costs thousands of dollars is critical, of course, but it’s also pretty much guaranteed because these timepieces are produced by the world’s finest watchmakers. For that reason, the characteristics to look for when choosing a women’s luxury watch primarily involve appearance, functionality, and prestige. - Brand

10. Dolce & Gabbana Sofia Pink Gold
The Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana is best known for its women’s clothing lines (and its men’s lines inspired by football attire), but the label has expanded in recent years to produce accessories like watches. Their timepiece designs combine classic D&G style with outstanding movements created in Switzerland by the outstanding Italian watchmaker Binda.
The Dolce & Gabbana Sofia line offers a range of exquisite ladies watches that are both modern and stylish. Among these timepieces is the Sofia Pink, which stands out for its minimalist yet elegant design with a distinct geometric shape.
Crafted from 18-karat pink gold, the watch features a strap made from 100% pure pink silk satin that is fastened with an 18-karat pink gold clasp. The dial is made from pink enamel and features pink gold-plated hands and a logo, which are protected by a symmetrically-faceted sapphire glass crystal.
Powered by a high-caliber Swiss electronic quartz movement, the Sofia Pink is the most affordable luxury watch on our list. Despite its lower price point, this timepiece exudes sophistication and femininity, making it a perfect choice for any occasion.
No list of the top 10 best luxury watches for women – or men – would be complete without a Rolex. The Lady Datejust series of timepieces provides the perfect way to have one of the most prestigious names in timekeeping on your wrist at a reasonable price.
There are a number of these Rolex models to fit your preferences and budget. Groom+Styles’s choice would be the eye-catching Pink Jubilee Diamond Dial Steel and 18K Everose Gold Automatic, featuring a pink jubilee face, fluted Everose gold bezel, and two-tone watch band.
When it comes to women’s watches, the Lady-Datejust line is a great choice. Among the different models available, the Gold Dial 18K Yellow Gold President stands out for its stunning design and impeccable performance.
Made of 18-karat yellow gold, both the case and bracelet of the watch are exquisitely crafted, along with a gold face, gold-tone hands, and diamond hour markers. The slim design of the watch adds to its elegance, making it a perfect choice for any occasion.
The President is not just a beautiful timepiece but also keeps exceptional time, with waterproof protection up to 100 meters. And, of course, being a Rolex, you can be assured of the watch’s quality and durability.
All in all, if you’re looking for a luxurious and elegant women’s watch, the Gold Dial 18K Yellow Gold President from the Lady-Datejust line is definitely worth considering.
Vacheron Constantin is a celebrated name in the world of Swiss Haute Horlogerie, creating some of the world’s first sophisticated complications in the 18th century and still building the most complicated mechanical watches ever seen. The Overseas line was introduced much more recently, in the early 21st century, but quickly became a symbol of sporty elegance.
The women’s Overseas Small Model is a precision mechanical self-winding timepiece prominently featuring the hallmark of Geneva certification. It’s also a dazzling beauty. Three interchangeable bracelets and straps come with this watch: satin-brushed stainless steel, blue rubber, and an extremely attractive black hand-stitched alligator strap. The dazzle is supplied by 84 round-cut diamonds (totaling more than one karat) set on the six-sided bevel surrounding the brown lacquered sunburst face.
This is a larger, round timepiece – but with its choice of bracelets and the sheer loveliness of the bezel and face, it is a watch you’d be proud to wear almost anywhere.
It shouldn’t be surprising that so many of the top 10 best luxury watches for women are Swiss-manufactured, and it definitely shouldn’t be surprising to see a model from Piaget on this list. The watchmaker is famed for producing some of the slimmest timepieces on the market, along with the use of unusual semi-precious stone and, of course, precision movements.
The Polo line of timepieces has been known for its avant-garde style since it was introduced more than 35 years ago, and Polo Lady watches feature the throwback look that is so popular today. The quartz Forty-five is a large and elegant watch, with its size and large numerals contributing a unique sense of sporty style. It is available in several styles; one features an 18-karat rose gold case with diamond pavé bezel, white face, date display, diamond index marker and white rubber band, while another has a rose gold and diamond pavé face with an alligator leather strap.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has a long and storied history of innovation in Swiss timekeeping, and its Reverso a good time some 85 years ago as a luxury reversible sports watch; the reason for the reversible case was so wearers could protect the face during polo matches. Polo matches are likely not a concern for women (or men) today, but this iconic reversible design has been reimagined as a statement timepiece which is truly eye-candy for the fashion-conscious.
The Squadra Lady Duetta has a square face that’s silvered, guilloché and sunray-brushed with large, polished gold-plated numerals, and reveals a black rear dial with a visible oscillating rotor. The water-resistant case is made from pink gold, featuring 73 pavé diamonds totaling nearly 1.25 karats. There’s a black, alligator leather strap. The automatic self-winding movement is as precise as you would expect from Jaeger-LeCoultre and the impression this timepiece makes is as memorable as you would hope for.
Whether you’re at a formal dinner, a business meeting or picking up dinner at Whole Foods, a Patek Philippe makes a very definite statement. The statement that the Ladies’ Calatrava makes is pure sophistication. This line has been the flagship timepiece of the Swiss watchmaker since the 1930s, still conveying the minimalist elegance it was designed with nearly a century ago.
The Calavatra Groom+Style favor has a white gold case, with 48 small baguette diamonds set in its bezel and six baguettes more in the prong buckle set, a night blue dial and midnight blue brushed satin strap. There are six other watches in the Ladies’ Calatrava line, including one with a more extravagant-looking dark purple lacquered face and violet-colored alligator strap with 20 diamonds, plus a draped-shaped white gold case set with more than five carats of diamonds (162 of them, to be exact) – which, of course, sells for much more. If you’re looking to make an impression, look no further.
4. Bulgari Serpenti Incantati
Bulgari (or Bvlgari, if you prefer) has long been known for the impeccable quality of its jewelry and watches. Its most-beloved motif has become the company’s creative symbol: the serpent. Bulgari has been producing its Serpenti jewelry and watches since the 1930s, but its latest iteration of women’s timepieces is the first to actually feature a serpent winding itself around the dial. The look is absolutely striking, and unlike any watch, you’ve ever seen.
Don’t choose the Serpenti Incantati if you want to be inconspicuous at your next cocktail party. It’s Haute Joaillerie at its finest, with a choice of pink or white gold case, and 116 brilliant-cut pavé diamonds snow-set along the length of the serpent and ringing the skeletonized, tourbillon dial. The satin strap has another 20 brilliant-cut diamonds to finish off this high-precision timepiece that will stop traffic if you cross the street wearing it. There are several options you can select.
3. A. Lange and Sohne Saxonia Mother-Of-Pearl and Diamond Watch
You expect two things from an A. Lange and Sohne timepiece: technical perfection and pure elegance. Their Saxonia line delivers both. This German watchmaker was put out of business following World War II but was resurrected by a family member and several notable Swiss watchmakers in the 1990s, and once again is producing truly outstanding high-end European timepieces.
The 18 karat white gold case on the women’s Saxonia is wonderful, but what truly stands out is the impeccably-cut mother-of-pearl dial, with a smaller mother-of-pearl second-hand dial at the bottom. It’s not just a watch – it’s a work of art. Small, sparkling diamonds mounted on the bezel surround the face, and a white alligator strap completes the understated yet breathtaking look. The automatic mechanical movement is first-rate, but the price tag isn’t just for a watch that keeps good time; it’s for an incredibly sophisticated fashion piece.
2. Blancpain Women Jour Nuit
Blancpain has a strange history. After almost two centuries of family ownership, the company (or its name) was passed a number of times between distant family members and larger big-name timepiece companies. Throughout that time, though, Blancpain continued to manufacture highly-regarded mechanical watch movements and innovative designs. The Women Jour Nuit (night and day) may be Blancpain’s most stunning design ever.
This is a large timepiece, but it’s thin. More importantly, the way the two exclusive movements are displayed focuses attention on the watch’s face and not its size. The mother-of-pearl dial is divided into three sections, on four different levels; that gives the timepiece the look of a deep and intricate technological marvel – which it is. There is a day-night disc which turns twice per day and is visible on the upper half of the face, with varying blue colors and intricate designs symbolizing the changing sky providing a mesmerizing and constantly changing display. One reason it’s mesmerizing: the sun is made from 50 yellow sapphires and the moon is made from 50 diamonds, with another 14 diamonds to represent the stars. The retrograde second hand contributes just one more element of visual fascination.
If you can pull your attention away from the face, you’ll see two spiral rows of diamonds (140 in all) along the bezel and a white ostrich leather strap rounding out this magnificent timepiece. But you probably can’t; the review team couldn’t.
1. TOP CHOICE: Ballon Blanc de Cartier
Harkening back to the Roaring 20s and the era’s glittering bracelets dripping with gemstones, the Ballon Blanc de Cartier melds the unparalleled design skills of Cartier with a high-quality Swiss quartz movement. It is a timepiece which has moved the esteemed jewelry house front and center in the horological movement, as well as to the top of our list of the top 10 best luxury watches for women.
The dial on the Ballon Blanc is flinqué with heavily-lacquered white mother of pearl with blue sword-shaped hands and the trademark Cartier railroad design for the minutes.
The small and thin case is available in either 18 karats rose or white gold, with two rows of diamonds on the bezel – but not just any diamonds. Cartier selects each of the round brilliant stones individually and adds a large, nearly perfect (IF, VVS1) colorless solitaire diamond in a separate setting next to the “4” on the face.
In a “dilemma” that’s opposite of that presented by the Blancpain, though, it may be hard to focus on the face of this timepiece, because of the polished, segmented 18 karats white gold bracelet that is set with more diamonds. At this point, the cash register is certainly clicking in your head, and it should be. One look, though, and you’ll agree that it’s worth it – even if you can’t afford it.
Groom+Style hope you enjoyed researching (or at least dreaming about) the top luxury watches for women. If you have concluded that these luxury watches are out of your price range then maybe you can at least consider something that should be affordable and tastes great – expanding your wine collection, and storing them in the best wine refrigerators available!
